10 AM Hypertufa are containers such as troughs that are excellent for container gardening, to grow small plants such as edelweiss and sedum. Troughs were originally made from tufa (a naturally occurring lightweight volcanic rock); however, since Maine has no local source of tufa, hypertufa fits the need for a container that drains well. Marianne will show how it’s done and explain why they can be so useful.
